Become a Math Tutor

Apply to be a non-math tutor.

In order to become a Math Tutor, you must:

1. Read the tutor position description
2. Receive a 3.5 GPA or better in a college-level math course
3. Email Dusty Wilson (dwilson@highline.edu) along with a screenshot of your unofficial transcript, introducing yourself and expressing interest in a position as a math tutor
4. If a teacher encourages you to be a math tutor, then ask them to send a short note to Dusty to that effect. Otherwise, no recommendation is needed.
5. If you do not hear back, please email Dusty again after 14 days

Additional Requirements

• Be available to attend tutor training from 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Friday (for Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters)
• Be able to work at least 4 hours a week (not including training)
• Be taking at least 6 credits at Highline College
